Melanie Wells: Program Director
Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology
Melanie Wells has years of experience, not only in recovery services but also in leadership, and she is responsible for overseeing the delivery of services to clients and family members. With 6.5 years in recovery and a Bachelor’s in Sociology, she has the experience needed to successfully combine all aspects of the program to ensure the best results.
Megan Tinnin: Clinical Supervisor, LMFT
Master’s Degree in Psychology: Marriage and Family Therapy
Megan Tinnin has years of experience working with families and individuals every step of the way through their behavioral health issues. She works to oversee the clinical team, helping with staff training and clinical meetings. Megan has a Master’s Degree in Psychology: Marriage and Family Therapy and providing a strong foundation to provide individual and family therapy sessions at Serenity. Eight years into recovery for an eating disorder, she understands the value of recovery and is currently back in school to pursue her Ph.D.
Melissa MacGown: Clinician, LMFT
Master’s in Psychology
Melissa has extensive substance abuse and dual diagnosis treatment experience providing trauma therapy, crisis intervention, and treatment planning. Melissa has a Master’s in psychology along with an LMFT and is working directly with clients in their recovery process in individual and group therapy.
Gabriel Flook: Director, Community Outreach
Gabriel helps handle admissions and discharge planning and is often one of the first points of contact at Serenity, available to answer any questions clients or their families may have about the program. He helps to create and maintain contacts within the community that not only benefit the business but the client experience. Currently working on a Bachelor’s Degree, Gabriel looks forward to a future helping the clients receive the care that they need.
Derek Wilksen: Vice President
Derek has helped develop, manage, and consistently evolve the marketing, community outreach, and admissions programs. He has also implemented best-in-class practices and Joint Commission accreditation. He has established numerous strategic alliances with clinicians, suppliers and industry thought leaders to help improve the treatment here at Serenity Lodge. He has led by example and empowered team members to take risks and explore unique and innovative approaches to their profession and to better help our clients. He is passionate about what he does because he, himself, is in recovery and found sobriety at Serenity Lodge, which he will forever be grateful for.
